Who Can Perform Pool Inspections in Brisbane?
In Brisbane, all pools must be registered and have a current compliance certificate. This certificate is required before a property can be sold, leased or rented. To obtain a compliance certificate, a pool owner must have their pool inspected by a qualified person. There are several different organizations that can perform pool inspections in Brisbane.
These include licensed pool safety inspectors, registered builders and certifiers, and suitably experienced pool maintenance contractors. Pool owners can also choose to carry out the inspection themselves, although this is not recommended. Once the inspection is complete, the results will be reported to the Brisbane City Council. If the pool meets all the relevant safety standards, a compliance certificate will be issued. If the pool does not meet the standards, the owner will be required to make the necessary changes before a certificate can be issued.
